Patna: A large number of experts, senior officers and Ministers of states of Eastern India would participate in first ever conference on environment to be held in Bihar from June 24 to 25.
Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi told media persons here that first ever conference on environment would be held in Bihar from June 24 to 25.
It would be held at Gyan Bhawan in Patna which would be attended by Ministers of several states of Eastern India, senior officials and experts.
“Union Environment Minister Dr Harshvardhan would special guest on the occasion,” Mr Modi said adding that states like West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Assam would be represented in the event.
Deputy Chief Minister said majority of the people in Eastern India particularly Bihar depended on agriculture and it would be important for them to know the effect of climate change.
