Four miscreants from Bihar arrested after shootout at dhaba in Siliguri

Siliguri: Four miscreants, all residents of Purnia district in Bihar, accused of intimidating a dhaba owner with a gun shot for demanding payment against serving food, have been arrested while fleeing with their vehicle, police said today.

Police also seized a double barrel gun and six live cartridges after a chase on the night on Thursday.

Police said the quartet, identified as Amar Kumar, Kartick Kumar, Ziaul Haque, and Aswini Ray, after having food from a dhaba near the regulated market here last night opened fire from their gun while the owner demanded money for serving food to them but, there was no injury in the gun shot.

However, a patrol police team after getting phone call rushed to the spot and caught them while they were fleeing with the vehicle.

Police also seized the vehicle, registered with Bihar motor vehicle department.
