Maoists spread threat in Bihar, ask people to boycott polls
1 min readJamui: As India prepares for the upcoming parliamentary polls that are just two weeks away, Maoists in Bihar are spreading threat by pasting posters in Jamui district, asking villagers to boycott Lok Sabha elections or else face consequences.
Rebels belonging to Communist Party of India (Maoists) put up posters in many villages of the Jamui district on Tuesday.
Villagers in the district said they feel threatened after they read the posters put up by Maoists and are not sure of voting as they are afraid of the consequences.
However, the Superintendent of Police of Jamui, Jitendra Rana said the police are alert and assured that the general elections will take place peacefully.
