Notorious criminal arrested in Purnea

Purnea: Police today arrested a notorious criminal and seized fire-arms from him under Baiysi police station area in Purnea district.

Police said here that acting on a tip off, raid was conducted at a hide-out in Milik Tola village, leading to arrest of notorious criminal Mohammad Safdar Imam from there.
One pistol, five live cartridges and other incriminating articles were recovered from the possession of arrested criminal, police added.

“Safdar Imam was wanted since long in connection with several criminal cases pending against him at various police stations in Bihar and West Bengal,” police said adding that he was being interrogated in this connection.
