Patna: At least 1.05 lakh people die due to tobacco consumption in various forms in Bihar every year.
At least 288 people lose lives in the state due to tobacco consumption every day, Patron of Voice of Tobacco Victims Dr V P Singh said, a day before World No Tobacco Day.
He said at least 2739 people, addicted to tobacco consumption die in the country every year.
Mr Singh said tobacco addicts were dying mainly due to cancer and heart related diseases.
