SSB sleuths seize Thai heroin in Araria

Araria: Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) sleuths seized 450 grams of heroin smuggled from Thailand and arrested two peddlers under Sonamani police outpost area in the district late last evening.

Sub divisional police officer K D Singh said here today that SSB jawans deputed at Dumaria border outpost seized 450 grams of heroin smuggled from Thailand from two motorcycle borne peddlers.

He said that seized heroin worth Rs 35 lakh in the international market was concealed in the dikkie of motorcycle.

Mr Singh said that the nabbed peddlers had been identified as Mohammed Afzal, a native of Jokihat police station area and Kripanand Mandal, a native of Palasi police station area.
